Malati Harris, MD, and Kristi Garber, LPN

Dr. Malati Harris, who started working at Lawrence Family Medicine & Obstetrics in June 2004, is a great asset to our practice. She attended Truman State University, where she earned her bachelor of science degree in biology. 

Originally from Chicago, she earned her medical degree at
the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and was a resident physician at Trinity Lutheran Hospital/ Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. During her residency, she was focused on obstetrics and very much enjoys this aspect of her career today. When not working, Malati enjoys spending time with son Mateo and daugher Liliana.

Kristi Garber, who is Dr. Harris’ nurse, has been with LFMO
for seven years. She and Malati make a great team. Kristi earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree in Kansas City, Kan., at AVTS Vocational School in 2000. Kristi devotes much of her time away from work to her
two sons and husband.
