Lori Nichols and her nurse, Morgen Townley, started working at Lawrence Family Medicine & Obstetrics in July 2004. They have developed a close professional and personal relationship, which has made them a wonderful addition to the practice.
Dr. Nichols graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (now known as Truman State University) in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in Biology. After that she worked in the medical field prior to entering the University of Health Sciences/College of Osteopathic Medicine, from which she graduated in 2001. In 2004, she completed her family medicine residency at Truman Medical Center through the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
Dr. Nichols is married to Denton, they have a beautiful daughter Ivy and a handsome son Zachary. Dr. Nichols is involved in the Lawrence community through Altrusa, a professional woman’s service organization that supports local literacy projects. She grew up in Kansas City.
Morgen Townley graduated from the University of Kansas in 1998. In 2000 she began the pursuit of her nursing degree from Neosho County Community College, earning an associate degree in 2003. Morgen and her husband Pete keep busy with their three beautiful children, Molly, Nate and Ozzy and dog Luigi.
